The United Nations Development Programme  mission in The Gambia is set up as a partner in development with the Government of The Gambia. The contribution of The UNDP in the Gambia has been very significant in terms of key policies formulation that cover areas such as: enterprise development, employment, youth capacity development and trade and also help the Government in its strategy to reduce poverty in the country.
