The mission of UNICEF-GAMBIA is to work for children's rights, survival, development and protections. It has been working in the Gambia for decades in close collaboration with the Gambian Government and local Partners.

The objectives of UNICEF-GAMBIA is to support children by enhancing the primary Health Care Services (PHC), help to meet the basic learning needs through quality formal and non-formal education, emphasize the importance of early childhood education. The support of UNICEF-GAMBIA includes the expansion of potable water supply, household sanitary conditions, improvement of schools, National sensitisation on children survival, protection and development.b
